The Plan: A romantic dinner at a local favorite, intimate conversation over coffee at Starbucks followed by an easy stroll through the neighborhood bookstore...sounds good, doesn't it? It did to us too.
Real Life: Romantic dinner while receiving phone call from the babysitter at home that tot #2 is tossin' his cookies, (side note: it's been my experience that when the babysitter calls you while you're out, it's not usually a good thing ) followed by hurried drive home and clean up of aforementioned cookies. Tristan's beloved "Dinky" unfortunately took the brunt of the "cookies" so hello sanitary cycle on the ole' Maytag! Silver lining: I did manage to grind some Starbucks beans for nightcap .... a good cup of joe with your sweetie while it storms outside is not too bad of an evening!
