Good news in our house: My very favorite orchid in the greenhouse is blooming. And my how it is blooming. This is an Oncidium and it is spectacular. The only problem is that Rod will not let me bring this beauty in the house. Not yet at least. Note the bloom stalk on the left in the 2nd picture - it's not opening yet. I hate to admit it but Rod is right in that if we bring it inside, the cooler temp might negatively affect that second bloom stalk and he thinks that it has the potential to be bigger than the first one. We'll see. For now, I have to go visit it outside. I prefer to have it blooming on my kitchen counter...
who knew these would be the disagreements in marriage....
