With Momma Dove as our audience participant, we got a little creative with the dye.
Before I tell you about our Paas experience, let me mention that it seems Momma Dove has become part of our family. You can tell that she is comfortable with us by my proximity to her in this picture below. You'll remember that she set up camp in the orchid basket right in our play area around the hammock. That she chose the orchid basket instead of the tree is cool. And that she stays on her nest warming her eggs despite loads of noise, activity, and photography --it's like she wants to keep tabs on her human family too. It's just neat and the kids check on "Momma Dove" every day....they (me too!) are anxiously awaiting sight of baby birdies which we expect sooner than later. Oh God's handiwork!
So we started out with a dozen or so freshly boiled eggs that were just spoilin' for some color...

And a rainbow of color they got...
What does this say about us that T is still in his pajamas from the morning? I guess that we either know how to play the day away or maybe that we're just plain lazy on Good Friday? But I'm glad he kept them on b/c look how perfectly this egg matches his shirt?!

All that egg-coloring got us hungry and lookin' for rest...

It was a good Friday this Good Friday! Thank you God for this beautiful day, for our family and friends, & for all the things in nature you have created, but more than that- thank you for loving us so much that you sent your Son Jesus to this earth to die on a cross for us --all so that You could enjoy a relationship with us! Oh what a celebration it is that He rose on the third day.....Happy Easter!
