Ever since Aynsley watched the movie Nim's Island, she has been slightly obsessed with owning a sea lion, an iguana, and a pelican. Yes, for real, she thinks we needs these creatures living among us. After all, if Nim can have them as pets on her island, then why can't we?
After several weeks of going on and on about this, she had an idea!... she told me that she knew just what Pop should get her for her upcoming birthday. You guessed it...a sea lion, an iguana (she calls it a gecko) and a pelican.
Pop and Gran never let her down and of course, among other things, she got a sea lion, iguana, and pelican all for her birthday. They are stuffed of course, but it hasn't seemed to bother her. Nor her brother who has taken a real liking to the gecko. I think somehow it has become his now -he tells us his name is George- and we're worried that Black Bear might be feeling a bit shoved to the side these days if you get our drift.
Tristan wanted to take George to school today but I told him that while George could come along for the ride, he would have to stay with Momma for the morning. So this is what Tristan did.....
Priceless.
