We All Need to Hear It!

If you haven't ever visited Northpoint Ministries website --pastor Andy Stanley (Charles Stanley's son)-- you should! If for no other reason, you should click there today to listen to part 1 of his latest series called Beware of Mouth. (The site is listed on this blog - click on Message Library and you will see a list of sermons by date) I think it is a 2 part series and he just preached part 1 this past Sunday - it is good stuff! He preaches out of James 3 -taming the tongue- it's about the power of our tongue and how what comes out of our mouths shapes people around us, how words have shaped our life, that we can't tame it so we must treat it as if it's a loaded weapon. Think about it....how has what people have said to you, whether they thought it through or not, changed you- in some ways for good and in some ways with devastating effects. I've really simplified the message so you should visit the site to hear/watch it yourself. It definitely makes you want to measure your mouth more closely. He has such a way of freshly applying scripture even if you've read a passage 100 times. Check it out.
