Black Bear, Black Bear

Daddy brought each of us a little something from Alaska. For Tristan, it was a very special black bear cub. Only God knew to direct Rod to that bear because it has become a very important addition to our home. You've read a previous post about the closing of the passy chapter in Tristan's life. He was having some difficulty going to bed at night and I went and found that bear and explained that this new friend would take care of Tristan and give him comfort so he wouldn't need that passy anymore. Tristan took right to this idea and that bear is now his #1 buddy. He carries him all over the house and cuddles up with him at night and when I tucked them in tonight he didn't even ask for the passy. He tells me that that black bear scares away all the monsters. Should I call the bear simply "bear", he will quickly clarify - "No, Momma, it's black bear". Since the Eric Carle book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" is his favorite,
it inspired me to write a little poem commemorating this time.
