Hard freeze. Those were the buzz words yesterday. My used-to-be-beautiful-pentas, impatients, and pansies know exactly what that phrase means. Burnt to a crisp and oh so sad.
I know, though, that you readers are on the edge of your seats wondering how the orchids fared. The answer is well indeed, thanks to the handy work of my dear husband who made sure they knew nothing of a "freeze"....they thought it was warm and tropical inside their cozy greenhouse. The ice pictured above is actually hanging off of the tarp covering that greenhouse. Those orchids just didn't know how good they got it.
